YEAR 2 SATS INFORMATION SESSION – 16TH MARCH 2017 (TO BE REPEATED 31ST MARCH AT 2.30PM)
At the end of KS1, Year 2 children take part in National assessments, which include tests in Reading and Maths. At Finstock School we try to ensure that these do not place any undue pressure on the children, and are done as part of our normal assessment cycle. OUTDOOR LEARNING INFORMATION EVENING – 19th APRIL 2016
Outdoor Learning is a key part of the way we learn at Finstock School. This year we have been working hard on embedding Outdoor Learning across the curriculum, developing a wider understanding of the benefits and impacts, and ensuring children make connections and apply their learning experiences outdoors. There have been significant changes to the way that assessments are reported this year, with a focus on assessing children against their age-related expectations. MATHS INFORMATION EVENING – 25TH JANUARY 2016
Over the last academic year, we have been working hard with a new teaching team to develop a consistent and progressive approach to teaching calculation at Finstock School.
